Fetisso has made high quality dipped latex clothes made of natural latex since 1992. The successful cooperation is located in Pernambuco, a state in north-eastern Brazil. This region is known for its traditional sugarcane plantations. The alternative to this more than 100-year-old monoculture is the plantation of rubber trees, which in the last couple of years has become stronger. The development of rubber plantations is not only important to gain the raw material to produce dipped latex clothes but also an improvement for our environment.
A hectare (about 2.5 acres) of Rubber trees absorb 19 U.S. tons of harmful CO2 per year out of our strongly polluted atmosphere. This is a lot more than other similar trees like the eucalyptus tree, which is used for reforestation in tropical regions.
The vulcanization process creates the ultra-smooth finish on the insides, hence the easy way Fetisso clothes slip on and off. No more powder, or messy lubricant needed!
Fetisso represents excellent quality products on the latex market. We want to reach customers who appreciate a high wearing comfort. Fetisso’s three European designers have kept trying to reduce known flaws. The edges for example have been made stronger to prevent them from ripping.
The company takes pride in our anatomic moulds. There exists, for example a “real” right and a “real” left foot to produce stockings. The gloves are shaped like human arms. The shirts are bigger in the back than in the front to avoid pressure on the chest. Our team is composed of people from nearby, carefully recruited and trained and they show great motivation for the work they do. Many items are made by hand and have to be produced with careful although constant movements. A working moral that is sometimes hard to find nowadays in the so called “western world” but which is very important for high quality products like we make them.
We want to thank all our costumers for their loyalty to Fetisso in the last 12 years. And we want to welcome new costumers by assuring you that all of what you can read about our quality is accurate in every respect. Please contact us for suggestions, criticisms, questions, etc.
